Are You Emotionally Abused?
Just several decades ago this is a question that was never even thought of, let alone asked. The fact that it is being regularly asked by both women and men is, we believe, a very positive indicator of the gradually shrinking void between the genders. Men have always been the majority of molesters in relationships. While there is no denying the existence of physical abuse, with its life-threatening effects, the fact remains that many women live in constant fear – but have never even been touched in anger. It is this threat of violence and the acidity of shouted accusations that become the weapon against the woman who is emotionally abused. So, the question remains. Are you an emotionally abused woman? A thorough understanding of these principles might, indeed, help to get ex back. If you are trying to recover a broken relationship, because of your emotional abuse your chance to win your ex back, will be heightened by knowing all these things.
To fully understand this issue you need to grasp the emotional landscape within which healthy and non-abused women function. Womens lives are about connecting with others emotionally – about fulfillment through nurturing, mothering, supporting and that which allows them to fight uphill battles in this regard is their emotional structure and support system. In fact, as experts agree, women who do not or cannot get the emotional support they need from their partners will drift away from those partners in the direction of something or someone else. Now, for purposes of enlightened awareness, add to that mix the effect of an ocean of negative emotions. Now, not only is she unsupported emotionally but the very fabric with which she sustains her psycho-emotional sanity is now bent against her. This is an emotionally abused woman. Yes, it is true that men can also be emotionally abused but it rarely occurs.
If you believe that you are or might be in this group – i.e. emotionally abused – then ask yourself these questions.
Are you constantly accused of being guilty, of being at fault, of being the source of problems, incompleteness, unsuccessfulness, and even the accomplishment of things but not with an appropriate degree of quality, speed and success? Being accused of everything is the number one source of evidence of emotional abuse.
Are your intentions or your actions constantly questioned or negatively judged? Is everything about you declared to be unacceptable, unsuccessful and generally substandard? Being branded as having substandard intent is strong evidence of emotional abuse.
Finally, are there things about you that are less than perfect – physically? Emotionally abused women are constantly reminded of their lack of beauty, lack of sexiness, lack of adequate figure and just not very desirable, all of which are intended to keep you down.
If you are subjected to a constant barrage of these kinds of attacks then you are, indeed, the victim of emotional abuse. You do not need to suffer for the rest of your life. There are ways to get help if you are an abused woman. Promise yourself that you will get help. If you are attempting to get ex back from a breakup caused by this kind of abuse, take heed.
